As a spiritual healer, I, Shagun K Singh, have heard many stories of struggle, growth, and transformation. Each story carries its own mixture of grief and glory. Recently, one such story deeply moved me and illuminated my understanding of human consciousness. The lesson came in a very meaningful way through an innocent drawing created by my student Paramprit.
Paramprit is an intelligent and creative child who often expresses his emotions through art. During one of our sessions, he showed me a drawing of a little girl who preferred staying indoors rather than participating in outdoor activities. In the drawing, the girl avoided playing with other children or spending time outside. Instead, she preferred to stay at home, watch television, and talk only with her friend Jiya.
At first glance, the drawing appeared simple — merely depicting a child's preference for indoor activities. However, as I looked deeper into it, I realized that the picture revealed something much more profound. It offered a glimpse into the inner emotional world of a child who feels safe within her own space but struggles with stepping into the outside world.
“Sometimes a child’s drawing reveals emotions and experiences that words cannot express.”
While the drawing was imaginative, it reminded me of many children in today’s world who silently struggle with social anxiety and hesitation to break out of their comfort zones. The girl in Paramprit’s drawing represented more than just a character — she symbolized the emotional reality of many young minds.
As someone who works closely with children and families, I felt a deep sense of empathy for this situation. It served as a reminder of the importance of emotional awareness and guidance in childhood.
As a spiritual healer, I believe that true healing begins from within. Emotional and behavioral challenges often originate from deeper emotional imbalances. Addressing these root causes allows individuals, especially children, to develop confidence and emotional stability.
The first step toward healing is acknowledging and validating emotions. Children must understand that feeling scared, anxious, or overwhelmed is completely normal. Parents play a crucial role in guiding children to recognize and express their feelings in a healthy way.
The second stage of healing involves gently helping children step outside their comfort zones. Small changes in daily routines can gradually build their confidence.
Such experiences help children develop social skills and boost their self-confidence over time.
Mindfulness practices can also support emotional balance in children. Simple breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, and meditation can calm the nervous system and improve focus.
These practices help children develop inner awareness and emotional resilience, allowing them to navigate challenging situations more confidently.
“When children learn to calm their minds, they begin to discover their inner strength.”
I often encourage parents to introduce art as a medium for self-expression. Creative activities allow children to express emotions and thoughts that they may not yet be able to communicate through words.
Paramprit’s drawing is a perfect example of this. Through his artwork, he was able to express an emotional perspective that reflects the experiences of many children today.
By providing children with opportunities for creative expression, we help them understand their emotions and strengthen their inner consciousness.
Paramprit’s drawing carries a meaningful lesson about creating a safe and emotionally healthy environment for children. Through love, care, and guidance, we can help children overcome fears and build confidence in themselves.
As a spiritual healer, my work gives me the opportunity to guide children and families toward emotional well-being while also supporting their personal growth.
Paramprit’s artwork is a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit. With the right guidance and emotional support, children can overcome their fears and learn to embrace life with confidence and openness.
I am grateful to witness such moments of learning and transformation. Art, love, and emotional awareness can truly become powerful tools in helping children discover their strength.
For better understanding, I have also shared Paramprit’s drawing, which highlights the importance of social interaction and emotional expression.
If you or your child often feel anxious around people or hesitate to socialize, feel free to reach out. Together, we can explore ways to overcome these challenges and support emotional well-being.
I would also love to hear your thoughts — how do you interpret Paramprit’s drawing and the message behind it?
When you believe in God, then you have the great power to control all the things. All things will become easy and possible for you.
